Amsterdam’s much-loved Warehouse Elementenstraat has pulled out all the stops for
Amsterdam Dance Event 2018, with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Solomun, Tale Of Us, Dixon, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler and Marcel Dettmann playing between October 18-21.
Elementenstraat has become the go-to venue for big house and techno line ups in the Dutch capital, offering an Amsterdam night out like no other in its two striking rooms. On the biggest weekend of the year for electronic music in the Netherlands, the epic Warehouse room welcomes a range of headline artists whilst the Club room provides a more intimate space to see underground favourites of all styles.
Kicking off on Thursday, October 18, is local promoter of forward-thinking techno, Reaktor. They have teamed up with midwest DJ extraordinaire DVS1, who invites his favourite artists of the moment. Berghain hero Marcel Dettmann features alongside celebrated techno veterans Oscar Mulero and Electric Indigo, with exciting talent Volvox rounding off the Warehouse line up. In the Club, Sandwell District co-founder Silent Servant is part of an eclectic billing which includes D’Marc Cantu performing live, the cosmic sounds of Solar and breakthrough names JASSS and Parrish Smith.
On Friday it’s the turn of another local party in VBX. Their bill is topped by legendary minimal pioneer Ricardo Villalobos, who will bring what is sure to be another unforgettable set in his unique style. Seth Troxler is also no stranger to the E25 main room. Together with Perlon luminary ZIP, Sonja Moonear and Steve Rachmad,hewillbringinfectiousgroovesandenergy to the dancefloor. Nicolas Lutz and SPOKENN (FERRO & REISS) are the perfect complement in the Club.
Saturday awaits something special in the first ever 24-hour edition of Tale Of Us’ world-conquering Afterlife. The masters of deep, emotional techno will play twice during the marathon journey with their label crew and signature visual production. Live set wizards Recondite, Mathew Jonson, A gents Of Time and Woo York are on the line up, as are a wealth of DJ talents in Mind Against, Adriatique, Patrice Bäumel, Vaal and Fideles. On top, special guests Solomun and Dixon will play an early morning back-to-back that promises magic and will set the stage for Tale Of Us’ closing. Hypnotic and experimental electronics are on offer in the Club, from Vril, Kobosil, Shifted, Neon Chambers (the highly-anticipated debut liveset of Sigha and Kangding Ray),ROD, Antigone, Bambounou, Amandra and Emily Jeanne.
Finishing the weekend on a high are The Martinez Brothers and in-demand London promoter Fuse. The Bros host a showcase of their label Cuttin’ Headz in the Warehouse and will play a five-hour closing set together with a very special, guest to-be-announced. Joining them are experts of their craft tINI and Guti, Amsterdam champ William Djoko and label artist Jesse Calosso. Expect the best in techy, funk-driven cuts from the first minte to the last. Fuse’s inimitable vibe and trademark stripped-down bounce will fill the second room. A masterclass from Enzo Siragusa leads the line up, with well-versed support from Archie Hamilton, Rossko, Seb Zito and NXT.
